Bridesmaids The Movie Premieres Today

If you are expecting to see what horrific fashions a bride puts her bridesmaids through, then “Bridesmaids” is not the movie for you. If you are looking to laugh your bums off, then run … do not walk … to your nearest theater and see it today. Starting at the opening sequence, there is something relatable for everyone. Here is the official synopsis:

Kristen Wiig leads the cast as Annie, a maid of honor whose life unravels as she leads her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), and a group of colorful bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to matrimony.

Annie’s life is a mess.  But when she finds out her lifetime best friend is engaged, she simply must serve as Lillian’s maid of honor.  Though lovelorn and broke, Annie bluffs her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals.  With one chance to get it perfect, she’ll show Lillian and her bridesmaids just how far you’ll go for someone you love.

And our synopsis …  The movie envelopes all the trials and tribulations of being a bridesmaid and being happy for a friend, even when you don’t even want to get out of bed. To say that Annie’s life is a mess is an understatement. Her business folded, she is #3 on the speed dial of her friend with benefits, her car has witnessed better days and don’t even get us started on the odd relationship with her roommates. But she puts her heart out there and tries desperately to fulfill her maid of honor duties, but the harder she tries, the more she fails.

At some points, it is almost unbearable to watch Annie fail once more. And when you think that she has hit rock bottom, she fails yet again. However, all hope is not lost after Annie receives a good talkin’ to from fellow bridesmaid Megan, who is one to pay attention to with her comedic performance. You will laugh so hard that you cry and you may even shed an emotional tear at the end.

Enjoy!
