Celebrity Weddings and Engagements

Whew! It’s been quite a busy few weeks in the world of celeb weddings and weddings-to-soon-be.

Let’s start with the wedding: After almost eight years together, Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford have made honest citizens out of each other. The couple became engaged in February 2009 and were pronounced husband and wife by the Governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson. This is the first marriage for Flockhart, 45, and the third for Ford, 67, who already has 33 years of marriage experience.

Ugly Betty star is about to become a beautiful bride! America Ferrera, 26, flashed her bling at the Edinburgh Film Festival in Scotland last week, confirming that yes, she is engaged. Ferrera will marry longtime boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams, whom she met at USC while the two were students there.  He cast her in a film, proving that he has not only a good eye for talent, but great taste in a wife.

Is the second time a charm for Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green? The couple, who have been dating on and off since 2004 (when Fox was a mere 18 years old), first became engaged in November 2006, but called it off in February 2009. Fox, who has proclaimed herself as “not the marrying type” said yes, again, to a June 1 proposal on the beach. Lesson learned: Do not jump up and down, on a beach, with an engagement ring in your hand. Apparently, Fox was so excited to receive the ring that she dropped the 2-carat sparkler in the sand. It has not been confirmed if the ring has been found. The couple has tattoos of each others names on various body parts, so who needs a ring anyway?
