Brides Vie for Dream Wedding for Themselves and

 Their BBF (“Best Bride Forever”)

 at Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort

What’s the only thing more magical than one dream-like wedding? Two dream-like weddings. Starting on January 19, brides-to-be are invited to participate in Hilton Worldwide’s “I Do Times Two” essay contest and share why their BFF (best friend forever) should also be their BBF (best bride forever).  Hilton is giving brides and their best friends the chance to win a pair of weddings at the idyllic Hilton Waikoloa Village resort, which offers an authentic Hawaiian experience in an unforgettable paradise-like oceanfront setting.

“We love the idea of fulfilling two special brides’ ultimate destination wedding dreams at one of our most prized resort properties,” said Debi Bishop, general manager.   “Hilton Waikoloa Village features 62 spectacular oceanfront acres with lush tropical gardens, the Kohala Spa, and a beautiful Hale Aloha Chapel along the Waiulua Bay. This setting will surely create an unforgettably magical wedding celebration for the pair of winning brides.”

To enter the contest, any bride-to-be who has a best friend that’s also heading to the altar is invited to visit between January 19 and February 22, and tell Hilton why she and her fellow engaged girlfriend deserve to win a pair of destination wedding packages over the same week at Hilton Waikoloa Village resort. A panel of Hilton Worldwide judges will review all submissions and deem one story the winner, based on key criteria like uniqueness, sincerity, and impact of the relationship between the two brides.  The winning entries will be announced on or around March 2, and the lucky grand prize-winning bride will receive an all-expense paid Hilton Waikoloa Village wedding package for herself and her best bride forever between the dates of January 1, 2011 to March 31, 2011, including complimentary round-trip airfare for both couples to Hawaii’s Big Island, two ocean-view wedding ceremonies, deluxe ocean-view accommodations, and complimentary room-blocks of up to 15 room nights for each wedding party.

While visiting the contest site, visitors will also have access to valuable information on wedding guest etiquette topics, guidance on working with a hotel throughout the wedding planning process, tips on making out-of-town guests feel welcome, as well as access to Hilton’s specialized wedding resources, including their signature online group booking tool. The online group booking tool allows today’s busy, but tech-savvy brides and grooms to plan, book and manage their wedding blocks (five to 25 rooms) online with 24/7 access to real-time inventory across Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio of hotels.  The hotels also offer personal assistance and support throughout the planning process.

Site visitors can also explore all the Hilton Waikoloa Village resort has to offer throughout its expansive Pacific playground, including three fresh-water swimming pools; an ocean-fed snorkeling lagoon; waterfalls and waterways; locally inspired treatments at the Kohala Spa; Dolphin Quest educational center; nine dining outlets; a Museum Walkway; Camp Menehune children’s program; Legends of the Pacific Luau; an 18-hole seaside putting course and expansive tennis complex. The perfect destination to entertain out-of-town wedding guests, Hilton Waikoloa Village is known for its interactive cultural immersion experiences such as hula and ukulele lessons and historic Petroglyph tours, as well as two championship golf courses and world-class shopping and activities at Queens’ Marketplace and Kings’ Shops.
